Elite Technical is seeking a Financial Analyst who will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting financial data as well as preparing reports, models, presentations and recommendations for leaders of a business or clients. The selected candidate will interface regularly with project managers and task leads. Supports moderately complex projects.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE:
-25% Prepares various accounting and financial reports, analyzes and verifies data and financial reports to produce the financial results for assigned business units and challenge accounting processes.
-25% Investigates and researches problem account reconciliation on an as-assigned basis in order to improve controls over general ledger, subsidiary ledgers, and balance sheet activity. Analyzes trends, calculates and verifies data. Interfaces with other areas to develop reporting specifications, methods and procedures, and prioritizes requests.
-25% Performs moderately to complex analysis, gathers, compiles and interprets financial data to ensure compliance with applicable regulations or guidelines, identify trends and provide insight for decision making. Analyzes and prepare journal entries, monthly account reconciliation, responding to internal and external auditors, management, and finance department inquiries.
-25% Responds to manager, director, and executive inquiries, handles special requests, researches moderately complex accounting issues. Prepares financial data for presentation to upper management.
Although this position is 100% remote, we are seeking candidates that currently reside in one of the following states: Wash DC, MD, VA, WV, NC, PA, DE, NY, NJ, TX, FL.
- Education Level: Bachelor's Degree. In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required in addition to the required work experience.
- FP&A analysis
- Experience: 4 years Accounting and Financial Analyst experience. Prior background in general accounting and financial analysis procedures (ex: Monthly variance, submit account payables, budget and variance analysis, FP&A analysis, monthly reconciliation etc..)
- Must have: Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Must have solid knowledge of MS Excel (pivot tables, v-look ups etc..)
- Attention to detail, critical thinking, able to prioritize and manage multiple priorities
Preferred, not required:
- Oracle E-Business Suite Financials
- Healthcare insurance industry experience
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or similar certification
- STAT and/or federal regulations knowledge in general
